The ENPROTEC full-function filter press is designed to achieve the best results in mining and mineral slurry dewatering. All ENPROTEC filter presses offer full functionality, including automatic opening and membrane squeeze. Feeding Philosophy

ENPROTEC has developed and employs a highly specialised filter feeding philosophy which optimises the feeding and filtration step of the filtration cycle. Making use of flow and pressure control, this philosophy achieves “flash fill” of the chambers, minimising feeding times and maximising solids recovery through the instantaneous creation of a secondary filtration boundary layer (feed material solids) against the filter cloths. This feeding philosophy is fully automated and is controlled by the PLC (Plant Logic Controllers).

Simplified Material Handling

Achieving consistent minimum moisture filter cakes is crucial for material handling within the filtration facility as well as for downstream processes. Dry and competent filter cakes enable guaranteed cake release from the filter press and eliminate downstream blockages of conveyor transfer points and bulk material handling machinery. Additionally, ENPROTEC has developed a PCR (Positive Cake Release) system for highly tenacious sticky cake applications, effectively eliminating the risk of cake holdup during the press opening step of the filtration cycle.

Effective Liquid-Solid Separation

This double layer filtration process, filter cloth as well as the formed feed material packed bed layer, ensures the highest possible material recovery as well as solids free filtrate. Directly returning this filtrate to the upstream processes greatly reduces make up water requirements through achieving a closed loop water system.
